  • RAF double sided silk escape and evasion map for the North African campaign measuring 46cm by 51 cm. The map covers Cyrenaica (K1) on one side and Algeria Tunisia and Italian Lybia (K2) on the other side. Early map with 3 colours black, green and red. K1 is scale 1:1,657,00 and shows the North African coastline from Port said and Cairo egypt on the east and Benghazi in the west. K2 is to a scale of 1:6,000,000 and shows the coastline and interior from Benghazi in the east to Oran near the Algerian Border in the west. Not dated but the italian and German Forces were expelled from Lybia in the beginning of 1943, so the reference to “Italian Lybia” suggest the map dates from 1940 to 1943, vg.+ $75.00
